COVID-19: Maharashtra reports 3,427 fresh cases

India on Sunday reported its highest-ever spike in a single say after registering 11,929 fresh COVID-19 cases. While the curve continues to get steeper, Maharashtra reported 3,427 new cases, taking the state's total tally to 1,04,568 coronavirus cases.According to a report by the Medical Education and Drugs Department (Maharashtra) published on Sunday, the state reported 113 new deaths, maintaining the mortality rate at 3.66 per cent. Crossing the 3,000 mark has become the new normal for Maharashtra, with the past few days witnessing a surge in fresh cases. Mumbai continues to top the list, reporting 1,380 new cases in the past 24 hours. The city hosts 28,763 active cases. The Pune Municipal Corporation reported 363 fresh cases and nine new deaths. Dhule and Nanded have reported zero fresh cases. Trends remain consistent 84 per cent of patients currently admitted are asymptomatic in nature while three per cent are critical. About 70 per cent of deaths are co-morbid in nature. Out of the 5.59 lakh test conducted, 83 per cent of samples returned negative.

The Corona virus figure in India is now becoming even more frightening. More than 61 thousand positive cases of corona virus were found in the last 24 hours on Saturday, bringing the total number of corona cases in the country to around 21 lakh. Let us know that in just eight days of August, the number of cases of corona has been highest in the world.

According to the Health Ministry data till Saturday morning, 61,537 positive cases of corona virus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, while 933 deaths have been reported. After these figures, the total number of corona cases in the country has increased to 20,88,612. Of these 6,19,088 are active cases and 14,27,006 patients have fully recovered.

India 3,28,903 new corona virus cases were reported in India in the first six days of August. The same figure was 3,26,111 in the US and 2,51,264 in Brazil. The cases reported in India in the four days of August were the highest in the world. Corona cases that occurred in India on August 2, 3, 5 and 6 were the world's most daily cases. 

India crossed the 20 lakh mark on Thursday. This figure is increasing rapidly in Bharata. The growth rate of infection in India is 3.1%, higher than the US and Brazil. However, in terms of death figures, the United States and Brazil are ahead of India, both Brazil and the United States have recorded more than 6,000 deaths due to Corona in August so far while the figure of India was only 5,075.
