06th August 2023

                          Story of the day

So, this is a story of 6th August 2023, starting from when I woke up and what happened in the end. Actually, the story is quite unexpected, and I can't believe it happened to me on that day. I woke up at 6:24 a.m. to a call from my friend, who is actually my college crush, even though he is straight and I have a little crush on him…So, he called me and because of his call, I woke up at 6:24 a.m. in the morning. He asked me if I was going to come to college, and I told him, 'Yeah, I am going to come.' Then we had a little talk, and after that, I hung up and went to freshen up and had a bath. As most of you guys know, I don't have breakfast in the morning, so without having breakfast, I headed towards the college. I took a bus at around 7:00 a.m. and reached college at 7:34 a.m. There was my friend waiting for me, and then three of us waited for my friend, who called me and whom I have a crush on…He arrived at 7:59 a.m. in the morning, and then we went inside the college for the event.

While standing in line, the teacher gave us biscuits, which I didn't eat because they contain solid milk, and I am a vegan, so I don't like to have them. After that, the march started, and we had to go to a sort of maidan (open field), but I forget the name of that place. It seemed like I had to walk for about 30 to 40 minutes to reach that maidan.Maidan is nearby the station, so after the function ended, we started moving towards the station. The problem was that my two friends were leaving early, and I was confused about where to go – should I stay with my crush and his friend or go with my new girl friends. Eventually, I decided to stay with him only, but unfortunately, he was forcing me to go with them. Here's where the twist comes in. While we were having the march and walking from our college to the maidan, lots of students joined in from different faculties. Among them, there was a girl who happened to be my crush's college friend, and he was talking with her throughout the whole way. I couldn't help but feel bad and jealous.
First of all, he is my crush, and he came with me, so he should have focused on us instead of talking with his college friend. It's okay to talk with her for 5 to 10 minutes, but they continued talking for 40 minutes, which made me angry and jealous. So, I decided to leave him on that maidan and went with my friends. The three of us reached the station, and now I'm waiting for my friend, or you can say the guy whom I have a crush on.He came from the other side with that girl, his college friend, and they had a plan to go somewhere after leaving us. Additionally, that girl called one more girl to meet him, my friend. So, I got angrier, and within a second, I said bye to my girl friends and bye to my crush. With anger, I left them and took a train to another station because I had to go somewhere else. The main story starts from here. After reaching the other station, I don't want to mention the name to avoid people knowing my place.

Then, I took a metro and reached another metro station. I was very happy because there was a book fair where I was going, which is in Malad Infinity Mall, as some of you might know. So, I headed over there and took a second metro to reach in front of Infinity Mall. Actually, I had a plan to meet my old friend… He is my crush too, and he is straight. I had proposed to him long ago, but he refused to accept it romantically, and we remained good friends. He's currently working, so when I asked if he could come, he said he was kind of busy with homework and some work at his house. I understood and agreed with him, though I felt a little sad. But It's okay for me since he has important things to attend to. If he came, we see each other for 7 to 8 months anyway, so I accepted the situation. I entered the mall where lots of people were present, along with many books. I was so happy to experience my first book fair; I absolutely love reading books… :

So, I took a box and started finding the books slowly. Gradually, I started feeling something in my stomach because I hadn't eaten anything since morning or last night. I was extremely hungry, and it affected my ability to think and find the perfect book. But, in the end, around 2:45, I filled my box with lots of books. As my situation was becoming tiresome, I decided to sit down on the floor since many people were already sitting there. I joined them and continued checking my books while observing what others were doing. After some time, I took my box and went to the payment counter, but there was a huge line due to the large number of people who had come. It was the last day of the book fair, and there were many foreigners and local visitors over there.:

So, I was standing in line, and my situation was getting worse. I reached halfway to the counter when I started feeling like I might fall down or pass out right there because my energy was depleted, and I couldn't even lift the box. The situation was getting even worse, so I sat down with my box in the line. Then, I suddenly remembered that I had a banana in my bag from the event earlier. I took out the banana and ate it, which gave me a little bit of energy, but it wasn't enough because my stomach was still empty, and the banana caused more pain. I started thinking about what would happen next since I hadn't informed my father about going to that place, and he wouldn't have given me permission. My brain was filled with lots of thoughts about what might happen if I passed out there.

I was worried about how people would perceive me, especially since my phone battery was only at 14%. Finally, I reached the counter, made the payment, and then went to a seat within the mall. I tried calling my sister, but she was sleeping and didn't answer my call. So, I called my old friend, the one I wanted to go with, and explained everything that was happening. I asked him to inform my family if anything happened to me. He agreed to help. While sitting there, two friends sat in front of me, sipping on bubble tea. Unfortunately, I couldn't join them because I'm vegan, and most bubble teas contain milk, not almond milk. But, since the bubble tea was made with cow milk, I decided to set aside my vegan principles for a day and have the bubble tea. I was feeling so weak that I couldn't even climb to the third floor to get the bubble tea for myself. I started contemplating whether I should call that guy and ask him to buy me a bubble tea. However, I worried about the possibility of him insulting me. I kept thinking about why I had come alone and why I didn't just go back home happily to eat something there. After sitting there for about 30 minutes, I thought to myself that I should just leave my vegan principles aside and eat whatever is available, invoking the name of God.

I thought that whatever happens, he will help me, so I stood up and started walking. I left the mall at the Malad metro station. On the way to the metro, I encountered a couple carrying three packets of banana chips, and my hunger was unbearable. I sat beside them and asked the lady if I could buy a packet of banana chips from her because I was extremely hungry. Sadly, she refused, but her husband insisted on giving it to me. I felt disheartened by the lack of humanity these days. I was starving, and my stomach was in severe pain, making me feel like I could vomit and collapse at any moment. Finally, I reached my metro station stop and got off the metro. While going down the elevator, I saw a 711 shop, and just looking at it made me so happy.

I felt so happy that words couldn't express it. As a vegan person is very hard to find something to eat as well as I don't like going somewhere where you will get non veg and veg together…. So I entered the shop and bought some bhakarwadi and a cold drink. I sat there and started eating the bhakarwadi. After that, I realized I should carry bhakarwadi, khakhra, Patra, and thepla from home so that I can eat something if I get hungry. From today onwards, I'll prioritize taking care of my health even if it means not carrying my books. So, I ate some more bhakarwadi, left the 711 shop, and took my second metro to continue my journey. When I reached the train station, I sat down because I started feeling hungry, and my stomach was in pain. I ate more bhakarwadi to ease my hunger. I also texted my college friend, the one I had a crush on, to ask how he was doing. I texted my college friend, whom I had a crush on, and asked him about the girl who was with him. I wanted to know if she was his girlfriend or crush. His response shocked me as he replied, nahhh …. "Someone else." I felt even more surprised and asked him again … who …  if she was his girlfriend or crush. He clarified that she was his girlfriend, and she attended a different college. That's when I remembered that the girl who was coming was indeed his girlfriend. I told him, "Okay, I'm going back home. I'll text you later." He asked where Im , and I informed him that Im still at the station and it would take some time to reach home. I assured him that I would text him once I reached, but he didn't reply to that message…Then I took a train and reached my station. After that, I took a bus and finally reached my house around 8:30 pm. I narrated the entire story to my sister, but at the same time, my body started experiencing severe pain, and I developed a fever. The pain and fever were so extreme that I couldn't even sit or stand properly. Exhausted, I fell asleep, and now I have just woken up to write this story. The moral of the story is that as a vegan person I need to carry bhakarwadi, khakhra, Patra, and thepla with me, and also, I should stop thinking about my college crush as he has a girlfriend. And believe in god …
